On Wednesday, August 28, 2024, a little after 12 noon, a foreign citizen was injured on the Julijana hiking trail.
While walking along the path on the eastern side of Bučenica opposite the Tolmin Sotočje, she slipped and seriously injured her leg. The hiker was in the company of three other friends who helped her and called 112 and asked for help.
Mountain rescuers went on foot to the scene of the accident and immobilized the injured leg with a vacuum splint. We carried her on Tyromont’s stretcher to the village of Modrejce, and then transported her with an off-road vehicle to the health clinic at Most na Soča. We wish the injured hiker a speedy recovery.
This year, it was already the sixtieth rescue of GRS Tolmin rescuers.
